The Jane is our most challenging and proudest project to date, with over 25 surface tweaks, extensive R&D, and even a discarded first batch of 1,500 units because the surface did not meet our intended performance. Built around our new Particle Isolation technology, Jane was created to achieve our highest speed yet while maintaining a strong, perfect texture, high stopping power, and minimal push-in. The result is a uniquely stable and consistent surface unlike anything we’ve seen on the market.

Particle Isolation
Particle Isolation is our method of controlling how the etching reaction develops across a large production run. Instead of exposing an entire batch to the same etching cycle, we process the glass in controlled groups of around 100 surfaces, monitoring the resulting microstructure before continuing with the next group.

By continuously adjusting the etching conditions according to the measured surface profile, we prevent small chemical variations from accumulating throughout the production run. Each stage is checked against our target **Ra, Rq, Rz, Rpk and Rk** profile, allowing the next group to be brought back toward the same surface structure.

This lets us maintain the intended microtexture across thousands of surfaces rather than simply accepting the natural variation of bulk etching.
